"There is a time when you are being asked by someone to hang out together, but you refuse it. I used to have that time. I do regret it now just because here I am sitting down in my chair alone. My world seems empty. I not only once asked him to go out and he unquestionably refused my invitation. Is that karma? Being busy, family, and traveling were the most common answer that I got, that I used to speak those words too. That was better compared with receiving no answer at all. So, what am I gonna do? Nothing, maybe. I just can talk with noisy television, blind radio, silence wall and myself. I know that I am important for nobody, I am no one for that hectic man. Even if I were being the most caring person in the world, he still wouldn't be responsive to me in return. Probably. Or I'm just being sarcastic."

I was about going today and the rain started to pour really hard. The wind was very huge so it made my umbrella almost slipped off my hand. My t-shirt and jeans were really badly wet. I decided to go back to home and cancelled the agenda. It seems the-not-so-good day that was happened to me was not happened to Ms. Macaroons. I mean like look at her pinkish cheeks, bright smile, and brave red sweatshirt and super short hot pants! She looked like having a good day instead and was ready to make any single of selfie moments anywhere anytime she would love to go.

"My pride, my ego, my needs, and my selfish ways
Caused a good strong man like you to walk out my life
Now I never, never get to clean up the mess I made
And it haunts me every time I close my eyes
I get lost under these lights
I get lost in the words I say
Start believing my own lies
Like "Everything will be okay"
Oh, I still dream of a simple life
Boy meets girl, makes her his wife
But love don't exist
When you live like this
That much I know, yes I know."

Today Ms. Macaroons' tomboy personality emergence is out. She chooses to wear anything preppy and Bruno Mars is her muse. Her hat and shoes seem very support her mood today. She said that she wanted to wear her dream-catcher necklace so her bad dream last night would be forgotten during the day. Nope, she doesn't look like have a broken heart, does she?

Talking about wishlist, I have sooooo many stuffs to buy. One of the list is notebook. Not that kind of laptop but only the book with some blank pages inside. I'm always mesmerized about the amazing cover that I know it will inspire the owner in life. I want to have one without stripes inside the page so I can draw whatever thing I see in the street to make the skills better than ever. Sinceee I don't have one right now, (or I have one but it is used for another purpose, and got it for free so the cover isn't that kind of amazing) I still make my sketch in my gadget like what I draw this pic below. I didn't know the man whom I draw before, it was inadvertently made because I couldn't fall asleep at night. Firstly, I drew a random big black and white stroke, then following with his eyes, nose and mouth. The final was the bone structure, hair and the coloring touch. I didn't know if I was going to draw a man since I never ever made a fictional man figure (and I'm bad at it). I tried to draw differently than I usually did because I was inspired by someone. I screenshot her (really great) illustration work and modified her work (she has really pretty face and so has her illustrations). Well, it was not easy though  because I was always ended turning into my drawing style. But I should try harder, shouldn't I? Because the result still had "many me" not "many modification". Dear me, just break the boundaries, ok?

"Ode to Autumn" was brought by Ika Butoni at IFW 2014. The designer who has boutique in both Singapore and Hongkong was inspired by the variety of women's modern lifestyle. Perhaps, the inspiration was realized by the kinds of stripes she made in the clothes, wasn't it? The color of autumn certainly was there in the first outfit in orange like the fallen foliage. The collection was ethnic and nearly quirky also edgy.. and a little bit alien-ish with the additional ornaments. And these are my favorites from Ika Butoni.

I can't agree more that most of Indonesia's fashion labels with the young-aged target always want to have dynamic, different and unique style among others. This statement also can be applied to Hunting Fields label. They innovated their latest collection with issuing some outfits in jellyfish printed fabric in Plaza Indonesia Fashion Week few months ago. This jellyfish collection which also being shown at Indonesia Fashion Week 2014 was made in wavy and light fabric with bright and black -maybe inspired by the jellyfish's ink?- colors as the foundation. There were also transparent fabric -it is from the transparent jellyfish inspiration, isn't it?-, plain fabric also the one with texture too. The collection I depicted as a grown-up young woman whom wanted to learn to be more mature but she still wanted to have a little fun. I love the total look, from the sleek hair to the pointy heels. It was really feminine and stylish.

I love to draw in my gadget. It is simpler than I use my color pencil or oil paint. I'm not good enough at combining color on a real paper. So, the apps at my gadget helps a lot hehehe! But I'm really envy to people whom can draw beautifully with water color and wishing someday I'll wake up with tons of my eyegasm own made water color painting lol. By the way if you wonder what application I use to draw lately is the basic Samsung Note. But in the other day, I tried to use SketchBook by Autodesk and it was amazing. My drawing became very real using it. The first picture of Rere below was made in SketchBook and the pencils had very soft strokes. Unfortunately the apps doesn't go with the multi-tab features in Samsung so it is quite hard to make a comparison with the real picture tab. I really want to use Brushes apps (just because a great illustrator recommended it in a noble daily newspaper column one day), but it is only available in iOS and I don't have any iPad. So, I have to merely satisfied enough with both of application I already have. Maybe you have some recommended apps for me? You certainly can share.

Hammer x Deden Siswanto
In the last day of Indonesia Fashion Week 2014, there was a show that presented four collaboration works between brands and Indonesia fashion designers. Overall, the collaborations resulted an interesting show parade. Check it out!

It was a very fun show in theme of “Youth Beat: Young, Free, and Live the Beat”. Pink, white, and black are the major colors used in this show made by students of LPTB Susan Budihardjo. The collection was very young, playful, and very girly in polkadots and flower print.

Edgy, urban, and casual might be the words of this collection. The main theme of this collection was the Ganesh that was designed graphically in the outfit.

Stripes, black and white also neutral colors were the main inspiration of this moslem collection.

In this "Edwardian Side Show" theme, Deden Siswanto and Hammer tried to make a collection based on Edwardian/Victorian time. The models acted as if they were circus artist. I think it was the most interesting show among the other. From outfit to sounds effect were fused very well. I enjoyed it very much.

IFW 2014 - APPMI

dress by Nasaruddin

Another annual show in IFW 2014 is held by APPMI (Asosiasi Perancang Pengusaha Mode Indonesia). The participants are the new members of APPMI who joined the show. Many famous names of designers apparently just became APPMI's new members, such as Ivan Gunawan and Ria Miranda. Here are some of their works.

Korina Budiman - Ria Miranda - Ria Miranda --> I love the pastel look. I like Korina's long skirt and the loose collection by Ria Miranda.
All by Ika Heydi --> These very light designs using traditional motifs are very simple but not too much color-block. But I think there should be a small piece of third or fourth color in these looks.
Retty Selya - Inez Kantahuri - Retty Selya --> I simply love Retty Selya works. I love Inez too it reminds me to Edward Hutabarat's. Sadly I hope there were simple styling on Inez's model.
All by Yogiswari Prijanti --> I love painting moreover I can see it in the dress. It is unique but perhaps the design can possibly be elevated more unique.
All by Yogiswari Prijanti
All by Sikie Purnomo --> Great design and interesting. The collection reminds me to some heroes in Java's old kingdom era.
All by Ivan Gunawan --> This "Manjula" collection is breath-taking. But I have no comment about the fake dragonfly on model's mouth.
All by Ivan Gunawan
All by Ivan Gunawan
Sikie Purnomo - Nasaruddin --> It is great to know that South Sulawesi has a unique bright color-blocking dress like what Nasaruddin's dress has.
Clutch: Juanita Seno Aji - Earpiece & wedges: Ivan Gunawan - Backless dresses in pink & green: Sikie Purnomo
